RAIZ was created with intention.

Not simply to produce another hand care product, but to create treatments that genuinely nourish the skin. 

At the heart of Raiz is a respect for the skin. Each formula is built using skincare-grade oils, butters, and botanicals chosen not only for their nutrient profile, but for the way they feel and perform. Lightweight where they should be, deeply nourishing where the skin needs extra care.

 Designed to absorb into the skin rather than sit on the surface, allowing hydration and nourishment to work where it matters most.

Our formulations are inspired by Rongoā Rākau, the traditional Māori practice of plant-based healing. Native botanicals such as kawakawa, mānuka, kānuka, and harakeke have long been valued for their ability to calm, restore, and support the skin.

These plants guide the philosophy behind our treatments, grounding the range in the natural wisdom of Aotearoa.

Equally important to Raiz is the story behind our ingredients. Our shea butter is fair-trade sourced from a women’s collective in Ghana, whose mission is to empower rural women and create sustainable economic opportunities through traditional shea production.

 Using time-honoured methods and simple equipment, this collective has helped improve the livelihoods of over a thousand women and their families. By choosing their shea, Raiz supports a supply chain that values craftsmanship, community, and dignity.
